One of the main reason that makes China such an amazing place to visit, is its people. The people of China are very open to foreigners, in fact a golden rule for interacting with foreigners in China is "patience and politeness" (Jeki). With this in mind, its also no surprise that the people of China also placed a lot of value in their family. In a traditional house in China, family is the basic unit of society, where individuality isn't valued as much (“Traditional Lifestyle of Chinese People.”). This can be seen in the daily life of a Chinese resident, for example owning your own car isn't as common or popular in other culture. The resident of China prefer public transportation as opposed to owning their own vehicles, which is why public transportation such as buses, trains, and taxis are so popular (Jeki). These customs are exclusive to China and has been upheld since the beginning of China's history.
